Garroch Glen is a beautiful area of upland moors and wooded valley set in the heart of the Galloway Hills, just sixty miles from the English border.

At Garroch Glen there is a vast range of activities to enjoy such as: Environmental tours, including sites of scientific interest, Hill walking, (14 walk trails from 300m to 12 miles), Guided horse and pony rides, Horse-drawn carriage rides, fishing and shooting.

Amongst our resident wildlife are red deer, roe deer, wild goats, otters, mink, stoat, game birds, birds of prey, red squirrels, badgers, salmon brown trout, adders, woodland birds, owls and a symphony of frogs.

Moorland hill plants change with the seasons and the woodland display Victorian plantings of daffodils, snow drops, primroses, azaleas, rhododendrons, roses and deciduous trees, which make for a golden autumn, In winter the snowcapped hills are stunning.
